Madison Wood
Head Trainer
My name is Madison, I am 20 years old and have a passion for all things relating to animals. I have spent the majority of my life living in Anchorage, Alaska up until November of 2019 when my oldest sister and I packed everything up and moved down to the beautiful PNW with our two dogs Lando and Tazlina. I am still an Alaskan at heart but am slowly falling in love with Oregon.
I have always loved animals, especially dogs and horses, but my love for dogs expanded in high school while I was apart of a Veterinary Assisting course. Through that course I was able to get a job at a local dog daycare and boarding facility that is also a huge part of Alaska's rescue community. During my time working there I had the opportunity to work with and foster numerous dogs with a wide range of behavioral problems. I have spent the last few years helping any dog/owner that I could to give them the best lives that they can have. Once I moved to Oregon, I got a job as a Technician Assistant at a small animal vet which gave me the opportunity to achieve up to a Level 3 Fear Free Certification.
My goal in life is to provide a better life for all dogs through balanced training and proper education. I enjoy spreading knowledge on all training tools; including but not limited to: e-collars, prong collars, dominance collars, and muzzles.
I specialize in behavior modification, working breeds, rescues, public access training, obedience, K9 fitness, desensitization, socialization, and more! No dogs life should be limited due to problems that likely can be fixed.
Tori Butterworth
Assistant Trainer
My name is Tori, I am 23 years old and absolutely love animals. I grew up in Seattle, WA until I moved to Oregon for college. After getting a taste for the Oregon lifestyle, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have been extremely interested in animal behavior and training since I was a young girl, but sadly my dad is allergic to animals with fur, so I was never able to have a dog of my own. Luckily, my neighborhood was full of dogs and at the age of 10 I began to dog sit and train my neighbors dogs. When I was a teenager I began training horses as well, and to this day have made training horses a career on its own. In addition to horses I have worked as a Technician Assistant at a small animal hospital, a medical boarding facility for dogs and cats, and am certified in fear free veterinary training. I rescued a 9 month old Labrador/Pitbull mix in 2018 from a shelter, his name is Mokie. Mokie is now 4 years old and I trained him for psychiatric and medical alert service work myself. After a torn Cruciate he is no longer actively working, but still loves to please his mom and is now a trick dog!
My specialties in training include: Service Dog Training & public access training, trick training, basic & advanced obedience, body awareness, desensitizing, dog socialization, exercise & mobility/rehab work, anxiety and aggression.
